TRUPULSE G7-BR2 Longrange Ballistic Rangefinder

OVERVIEW

The hunting industry is full of over hyped products. There is no overzealous marketing when we claim that the G7 BR2 is the smartest rangefinder in the world.

The G7 BR2 Rangefinder is the only rangefinder that ranges and calculates your ballistic solution for any shooting condition. Here’s how it works. The rangefinder is programmed for several ballistic parameters that are unique to your cartridge and firearm. Ballistic Coefficient, Muzzle Velocity, Sight Height and Zero Range are easily programmed on the device using the four input buttons. When selecting the MOA output mode no other inputs are required. If you are using a ballistic turret or reticle calibrated in yards, the BDC mode is selected and additional inputs for the Altitude and Temperature that the turret or reticle was built to match are entered.

To get your ballistic solution, press and hold the Fire button until the Line of Sight (LOS) range is displayed. As soon as a target is acquired, the sensors on board the BR2 measure the pressure, temperature, and shot angle. The LOS range is displayed for approximately 1.5 seconds while the ballistic computer calculates the firing solution, then it displays the correction in MOA’s (in MOA mode), or the Horizontal Ballistic Range (in BDC mode). For an MOA correction, just dial your scope turret the calibrated amount, or use an MOA reticle to hold the correction. If you are using a ballistic turret or reticle, you would dial your turret (or reticle hold) to the HBR.

For example, LOS range is 743 yards, but the BR2 correcting for air density and shot angle will display a HBR of 675 yards. Just dial the ballistic turret to 675. One button press and one turret dial to range, calculate the ballistic solution, and make the compensation. Nothing is faster or more accurate.

The device also calculates the exact wind hold solution based on your air density and shot angle. Just press a button and scroll through the wind correction in MOA in five mile per hour increments. The wind display calculation is our own patented technology and completes the ballistic solution.

Another unique feature is four distinct targeting modes that enhance target detection in tough light conditions and unsurpassed ranging in rain, snow, and fog. The targeting modes are Nearest Target, Farthest Target, Strongest Target, and Continuous (scan) Ranging. It has never been easier to range an Elk on a slope of burnt timber, or Pronghorn on the rolling plains, or Coyotes on a snow covered field.

The impressive ranging capability comes from Laser Technology, Inc., one of the world’s premier professional measurement companies. New developments in sensor technology along with dozens of other patented technologies give the G7 BR2 eye safe ranging capabilities beyond 2000 yards.

FEATURES

Ballistic calculations are powered by the advanced G7 ballistic engine. The precise algorithms are configured to allow ultra fast real time calculation.

Shoot To range compensates the line of sight range for variations in air density and inclination angle. The output is specific to the programmed BC and MV. Shoot To range is configured to work with BDC turrets or holdover reticles.

Wind Compensation is a core function of all G7 products and the BR2 rangefinder is no exception with patent pending compensation technology. MOA wind correction values are calculated and easily accessed to display the correction for different wind values.

Onboard sensors measure incline angle, compass heading, barometric pressure, and temperature. These sensors provide the data to the G7 ballistic engine to calculate the Shoot To range.

Programmable for up to five different cartridge combos.  Specific inputs include: Ballistic Coefficient, Muzzle Velocity, Sight Height, Altitude, and Temperature.

Very simple Intuitive Display offers selectable reticles and four intensity settings for varying light conditions. The Backlight LED display is visible in low light conditions.

The rugged housing is Weatherproof and features a GoreTEX membrane. The tripod mounting stud is ¼-20 on the bottom of the housing.

The eyepiece features an adjustable diopter with a click adjustable twist-up eye cup.

OVERVIEW:

Take toughest scope on the planet and add a low profile capped windage adjustment and the Gseven ballistic compensation system and you have the best long range hunting package available.

The most important features to look for in a long range shooting rifle scope are absolute point of impact and unconditional adjustment tracking and precision. Many rifle scope manufactures try to cloud the issue by touting optical excellence, or some revolutionary ballistic compensation system. However, without mechanical precision and quality control processes to ensure the product delivered is perfect, fancy adjustments and great optical performance are useless.

The first and most important function a rifle scope must perform is precise aiming. If the lens elements shift, or the lens cells don’t fit precisely, the aiming point can shift from the slightest impact. Only Nightforce tests every single rifle scope for off axis point of impact shift along with dozens of other causes of aiming error. If the scope doesn’t pass, it doesn’t ship.

The mechanical precision of the adjustments and gimbal joint determine the scope's tracking and consistency. The scope's internal design and clearances allow precise adjustments for the full range of motion. Watch out for scopes manufactured with inferior materials for these mechanisms. Hardened bronze adjustments will wear prematurely, causing soft click feel. A key indicator is adjustment mechanisms that are unable to offer 20 Minutes of Angle adjustment in one revolution and maintain the precision of ¼ Minute of Angle click adjustments. If it is a 1/3 MOA adjustment per click, it is not a steel on steel adjustment. The G7 5.5-22 has steel adjustments and virtually zero backlash. The best warranty in the business is the one you never have to use.

The G7 scope is a special configuration of the 5.5-22 NXS by Nightforce. We offer a High Speed 20 MOA adjustment with ¼ MOA per click adjustments and a patented zero stop design that doesn’t stretch or damage the adjustment threads. The windage adjustment is low profile and it has a screw on dust cap that will prevent inadvertent movement of the turret in hunting situations. Proven Performance.

Finally, the G7 reticle offers the precision required to compensate for drop and wind deflection. And we have tools that make the compensation for drop and wind perfect and simple. Try the free ballistic calculator to create a drop chart, or order a G7 Ballistic Turret to precisely match your rifle and cartridge. Use this scope with the G7 BR2 rangefinder to shoot in any condition with absolute accuracy.

The smartest ballistic compensation system is the easiest one to use.

   FEATURES:

With many companies, the design features of a rifle scope are worked out by marketing executives. Not with G7. We hunt and use products in extreme conditions. For us, the most important feature a scope can have is making the First Shot. With the G7 rifle scope, every important feature revolves around solid, rugged, repeatability.

Optically Indexed Lenses with proprietary coatings are matched and aligned by hand to provide the highest possible optical performance. You will definitely see the difference in low light situations.

Shockproof takes on a whole new meaning when all the optical elements are hand bedded with Nightforce Optics’ proprietary Mil-Spec bonding agent. Then further secured with orings and machined metal lock rings. This zero-tolerance system assures no movement—even with side impacts!

The G7 scope is fully Weatherproof to withstand the harshest environmental challenges. Every aspect is thoroughly tested and proven to give the best service in the worst conditions.

One Piece Tubes are manufactured on precise CNC equipment to maximize optical alignment, accuracy, and durability. The scope tubes are two to three times thicker than other rifle scopes offering a rigid chassis for the precise optical and mechanical elements housed inside. Less stress, and more thermal stability mean a more consistent zero and adjustments for a precise First Shot.

Long Range Adjustment System requires hardened silicon bronze and ¼ MOA, steel on steel clicks for the utmost in precision adjustments. The G7 scope also features 100 MOA of total elevation travel—that nearly twice the amount of other so called long range rifle scopes.

The Ti Erector Spring has been polished for two weeks to ensure perfectly smooth operation, and it is made of pure titanium. This is the only metal in the world that can be repeatedly compressed without developing fatigue or memory.

Zero Stop technology allows you to set and return to the exact zero point for your rifle. You will never find yourself one revolution off. The circumferential stop technology does not stretch or cause undue wear on the elevation adjustment threads as some stop ring mechanisms do.

The illuminated G7 rifle scope features a standard parallax turret with illumination control. The windage adjustment is non-raising, and features a dust cap to maintain positive adjustment settings.
