Introducing The Last Stand Target System

By Nick Leghorn on October 4, 2013

Target stands are a pain in the ass, especially when you’re talking steel targets. They’re heavy, bulky and have a tendency to get all shot up. And when they inevitably do, replacing them is a further annoyance. So when Kevin Brittingham handed me one of these new target stands from The Last Stand, I was intrigued. I’ll have to try it out for a while before passing final judgement, but a stand you can make out of spare rebar and some small plastic bits sounds perfect for either a set-and-forget arrangement or a portable target systems. Make the jump for their presser . . .

The Last Stand you’ll need

By: Rob Curtis 10-04-2013

We’ve all scratched our chins while padding through Home Depot on weekend honey-do runs and wondered just what is in that very last row of the store? Sure, seasoned DIYers probably already know that amid the snow fencing, gutter accessories, concrete tools and ladders stand bundles of super cheap steel rebar. Every time I walk by it I start thinking about what I could make with the stuff. It seems like a manhood challenge– I want to make …something… out of steel. But what? Meh, I come up empty and also remember I can’t really afford to buy a welder. Screw it; where’s the paint and box of screws I came in for?
