Diversifying

in Direct Sales

What do I mean by this?  I simply mean, pursuing more than one opportunity at a time.  I want to answer the question,

"Can I still be successful pursuing multiple opportunities?"

Here are my thoughts.  Very few people can be successful when diversifying and I simply do not recommend it.  I designed this website to help you find the right company the first time!  If you are pursuing another opportunity it's because you no longer believe that your first love can provide you the results you joined it to achieve.  At this point, you should consider moving on to something else.  Trying to pursue both will only hurt both opportunities.

It's my belief that in this economy and our current market place, people want professionals and experts in their field.  If you come across as a "jack of all trades" then you will most likely be viewed as a master of none by those around you and thus they'll probably look for a master they trust can help them.

There are only a few circumstances I feel multiple opportunities can successfully be pursued, but I want to stress that I don't recommend it until you've reached a certain level of success in your primary company.

1.  If the second opportunity provides a product or service that SUPPORTS the primary opportunity and would benefit your downline in the building of their business.

2.  If you've achieved, what your peers would consider a certain level of success in your first opportunity proving your credibility.

Outside of these two scenarios, I would say...do your due diligence to find the right company FIRST and focus all your effort and resources into your success in that company/opportunity and before you diversify, seek counsel with someone who is successful in direct sales who you trust.
